Czech Glory Hole Massacre is an experimental true crime dark romance thriller. So, wtf does that mean? Welp, at its core, it examines the correlation between childhood bullying and sex work, outlining why one person made a thousand bad mistakes and felt like she couldn't stop until she did a full-on ketamine induced exorcism of her own demons.

It's told primarily from the POV of Haely, the author, who had just moved to San Francisco from NYC, trying to start a new life as teacher in the men's county jail. Unfortunately for her, she was in way over her head and those fellas pretty much ate her alive.

Because her trauma had crossed her wires to the point that she saw red flags as foreplay, Haely dated a former student. It went poorly! This book is the sordid tale of that whole train wreck told with wry humor and accountability. The secondary plotline is a satirical "meet cute" as two folks work their way toward a glory hole club in Prague. It is a more traditional narrative that explores various motivations for buying and selling sex outside of the mainstream narrative.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you won't in fact read a scene wherein a bunch of dicks get chopped off in a Blade-esque blood rave. If you're down for a well-written, fast paced, WTF?! take down of the way we consume sexual imagery in the digital age, then read this book.
